Our Company
Founded in 1981 by our Chairman, Bob Collins, the company has always had strong ties with Liverpool and the Merseyside area. Today the business has grown to encompass the whole of the Northwest, Central England and North Wales and is now headed by Kevin Collins who was appointed Managing Director in March 2010.
In 1985 CB Transport Refrigeration were approached by Carrier Transicold to act as their agents in the North West. This partnership proved to be extremely successful and Carrier appointed CB as their Service Partner in September 1986, a relationship which has matured and remained strong throughout.
CB Transport Refrigeration remains the longest serving Carrier dealership in the UK and both companies remain at the leading edge of transport refrigeration technology.
The company has now evolved as a major player in the “Carrier Transicold Independent Service Network” and has adopted the trading title of: “Carrier Transicold Northwest”
Establishing the original workshop facility in Aintree in 1983 the company relocated to what is considered to be the finest purpose built facility within the industry, at Collins House Overbrook Lane, Knowsley, Merseyside.
The company’s reputation is synonymous with high levels of service and customer satisfaction reflected by our 6 PACE awards in the last 8 years. CB Transport Refrigeration has become a strong driving force behind Van, Truck and Trailer refrigeration and air conditioning service and repair throughout the whole of the Northwest, Central England and North Wales.
For the first 25 years Transport Refrigeration was the main focus of our expertise however during the last 10 years we have diversified and grown and our services now include the maintenance & repair of all types of refrigeration systems; air conditioning & renewable technologies.
